The Brooklyn Nets have a rich history in the NBA. Originally founded as the New Jersey Americans in 1967, they became the New York Nets in 1968 and eventually moved to New Jersey in 1977. In 2012, the franchise relocated to Brooklyn and adopted the name Brooklyn Nets.
