Major League Soccer (MLS):

The inception of Major League Soccer was founded in 1993 as part of the United States' successful bid to host the 1994 FIFA World Cup. The league officially kicked off in 1996 with ten teams.

In 2017, Atlanta United FC, led by manager Tata Martino, won the MLS Cup in their second season, breaking several attendance records along the way. Josef Martinez's prolific goal-scoring was a highlight.

Zlatan Ibrahimović's move to the LA Galaxy in 2018 created headlines. His remarkable debut, scoring two goals including a spectacular long-range effort, showcased the league's growing appeal.

Los Angeles FC (LAFC) Dominance: LAFC, established in 2018, made an immediate impact with a style of play dubbed "The Beautiful Game." Led by players like Carlos Vela, they set records and became a dominant force in the league.

MLS is Back Tournament (2020): Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MLS adapted by organizing the "MLS is Back" tournament. It provided an exciting and unique competition format, showcasing adaptability during challenging times.

Recent Expansion and New Teams: MLS continued its expansion with new teams like Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC joining in 2020. The league also announced plans to expand further, showcasing the continued growth of soccer in North America.

Record-Breaking Transfers: MLS saw an increase in high-profile international players joining the league, such as Gonzalo Higuaín, Rodolfo Pizarro, and others, contributing to the league's overall competitiveness.
